LINEX

Home Energy Storage Battery Supplier

Short answer: LINEX supplies 48V LiFePO4 home storage batteries from about 5kWh to 16kWh in rack and wall-mounted formats, for backup power and solar self-consumption. We pair the bank with the inverter’s voltage window and communication protocol, and supply OEM configurations for distributors.

Home storage is a system sale, not a battery sale. The battery has to match the inverter’s voltage window and communication, the house’s daily consumption, and the backup loads the customer actually wants to keep running. Most failed installations are sizing or compatibility mistakes, not cell failures.

Sizing by Daily Use

Daily consumption Suggested usable capacity 48V bank
3–5 kWh 5 kWh 48V 100Ah
6–9 kWh 8–10 kWh 48V 150–200Ah
10–14 kWh 12–16 kWh Two 48V 150–200Ah

These are starting points. Backup loads, days of autonomy and depth of discharge change the result — size for the loads you must carry, not for the whole house.

Rack or Wall

Rack batteries suit plant rooms and cabinets with 19-inch rails; wall-mounted units suit garages and utility walls where floor space is limited. Both use the same cells; the difference is mechanical, plus the inverter’s preferred mounting and cable routing.

Inverter Compatibility

Confirm three things before ordering: the inverter’s DC voltage window, its communication protocol (CAN or RS485), and its charge/discharge current limits. A battery that cannot talk to the inverter may still work in voltage mode, but you lose the BMS limits and warranty clarity.

Safety and Documentation

LiFePO4 is the safest common lithium chemistry for home storage, but installation still requires correct breaker sizing, cable protection, ventilation and a documented commissioning check. Export orders include UN38.3, MSDS, CE and RoHS; confirm any additional local requirements for the destination market.

Home Backup Without Solar

Plenty of buyers want backup power without a rooftop array — the battery is charged from the grid and only discharges during an outage. The sizing logic changes: autonomy matters more than daily yield, and the charger has to be able to refill the bank between outages.

Backup loads Daily use Bank Runtime on battery
Fridge, lights, internet, phones ≈3 kWh/day 48V 100Ah (5.1 kWh) ≈1.3 days
Above + well pump or sump pump ≈5 kWh/day 48V 200Ah (10.2 kWh) ≈1.6 days
Above + one room air-conditioner ≈10 kWh/day 2 × 48V 200Ah (20.5 kWh) ≈1.6 days

Without PV, the recharge path is a grid-tied charger or a generator. Size the charger at roughly 0.2–0.3C: a 48V 200Ah bank wants 40–60A, which is about 3kW. A transfer switch or hybrid inverter has to isolate the grid before the battery takes load, and the inverter’s surge rating — not its continuous rating — decides whether a pump or compressor will start.

Keep the backup panel separate from the main panel. Whole-house backup on a 10 kWh bank sounds attractive until an electric water heater or dryer pulls the bank down in an hour; a dedicated essential-loads panel is cheaper and delivers far more runtime per kWh.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a 10kWh home battery last?

At one cycle per day, a 6,000-cycle LiFePO4 pack is rated for about 16 years of equivalent cycling; calendar aging and temperature usually decide the real service life first.

Can I add batteries later?

Usually yes, if the new units match the model, age and firmware and the inverter supports parallel expansion. Plan the busbar and breaker capacity at install time.

Does the battery work during a grid outage?

Only with a hybrid or backup-capable inverter and a transfer arrangement. A grid-tied inverter without backup capability will shut down during an outage regardless of battery capacity.

Which capacity is right for a small shop?

Start from the loads that must stay on — lights, fridge, POS, communications — and the hours required. Send the list and we will size the bank.
