Common FAQs
The Smart model integrates a DC-DC converter that can provide controlled output up to 57V for engineered telecom upgrades. It is intended for phased expansion and compatible hybrid architectures, subject to rectifier logic, protection settings and a site-specific engineering review.
Hybrid operation is possible only in a validated system design. Confirm rectifier settings, DC-DC control, lead-acid bank condition, load profile, low-voltage disconnect, protection coordination and monitoring logic. Do not connect mixed chemistries without an approved architecture.
Multiply the site's average load by required backup hours, then account for usable system efficiency, depth of discharge, temperature, cable losses and aging reserve. Actual runtime depends on the complete site load and cannot be determined from the 100Ah rating alone.
The battery uses a 3U 19-inch format, measures 442 × 420 × 133mm and weighs 43kg. Allow 482mm depth for handles and terminals, and confirm rack support, ventilation, cable clearance, grounding and safe maintenance access.
The Smart battery supports CAN and RS485 communication. Confirm the connector, protocol, register map and alarm requirements during project review. The interface must match the rectifier, site controller or monitoring platform used in the target installation.
Expansion requires review of model compatibility, state of charge, DC-DC behavior, communication, cabling, busbars, protection and current sharing. Provide the planned quantity, existing power-system details and site load so the proposed configuration can be checked before installation.
The base battery specification lists 53.3V equalization, 51.0V float and 40.5V discharge cutoff, with 10A charging-current limitation. Smart DC-DC operation and rectifier settings must be reviewed together because nominal 48V alone does not confirm compatibility.
Documentation for UN38.3, CE, RoHS and FCC review is available, with a 5-year warranty. Confirm destination-market and project requirements before ordering, and provide the existing power architecture, application, quantity, monitoring interface and destination.
